“The hermit that came out to play.” On my first day at Jumia, I was given a blank canvas to paint my future. Though daunting at the time, I was able to learn the ropes and rise through the ranks; starting off as a Product Content Writer and now Global Head of Production and Content. My fondest memory was when I won the award for the “Most Valuable Production Staff”. I was publicly embarrassed, at least that was what I thought of it as when my peers cheered on as I walked up timidly to receive my award. I have learned entrepreneurship and ownership in my time at Jumia. Now, I can say that the hermit has come out to play.
